O'HARA'S BAKERY

We were approached recently by O’Hara’s of Foxford with a creative photography brief, the objective
being to showcase their new cakes and treats range. O’Hara’s of Foxford are a household name,
especially in Mayo, as their head office and bakery is located in the heart of Foxford. They are best
known for their family values, their sliced pan and their mouth-watering fruit cakes. Their history
makes for quite a story, as a win in the sweepstakes in 1951 for Michael and Maureen O Hara led to
the establishment of a small family bakery, which has grown into the award winning O Hara’s of
Foxford we know and love today. Throughout the years, as they have adapted and grown to meet the
demands of the ever changing market, one thing that never changed is their dedication to quality and
their family roots, with many of the O’Hara family still working in the business today.

Studio Product Photography

With a history such as theirs, we were very excited to be given the role of photographer for their new
product range. The brief was to produce both branded creative imagery and also product shots of
each individual product for e-commerce use. The new range signified a departure from the well known
colours of red and yellow, opting instead for vintage pastels and tasteful illustrations of teapots and
vintage cups and saucers. The subtle colours of the packaging lent itself well to the styled shoot
where we used carefully chosen props to mirror how the products would look in a home setting. The
end result was a lovely selection of creative imagery with a slightly vintage feel. China teacups and
teapots gave it a classy look which showed off the products to their best advantage.

The Results

We used a variety of settings to create both the lifestyle shots and the individual product imagery and
the client was delighted to have such a wide selection of images for use on their new website, social
media and marketing campaigns. We were all thrilled with the results and look forward to working with
O’Hara’s again in the near future.
